About Facia Release
What is Facia?
Facia (also known as fascia) is a truly incredible complex system of connective tissue that weaves throughout the body, like a mesh system supporting muscles, organs and nerves. I take an energetic/holistic approach to releasing stuck facia practiced through acute sensitivity applied slowly with pressure - actively engaging the tissue - while actively feeling with my hands for a release guided by The Divine.
I am certified by Maria Alfieris from Magical Hands Physical Therapy in New Jersey as her Master Teacher for the GTA, Nadia Ratycz from NIRA Yoga in Sarasota, Florida and Cindy Di Carlo, Reiki Master from Angelic Waves Healing in Newmarket, Ontario.
What is the main difference between healthy and unhealthy facia?
In a healthy released state, facia has a very fluid gelatinous quality. Think of a baby and how flexible and fluid they move. Almost effortless.
Over time and with age we experience many states of emotions, trauma, surgeries/scar tissue, accidents and injuries. This causes a thickened, hardened, cement-like felling under the skin that pulls and causes tension in other areas of the facia webbing that lead to immobility, stiffness and pain.
Healthy facia has better circulation activating the flexibility of facia in its natural state thus promoting healing, elasticity, less pain and tension.
Natural Healing
My goal is to provide energetic facia release through hands on therapy. This is only done when the recipient is being a proactive participant in direct engagement of his or her own healing power. I guide you with stretches, pressure and verbal cueing if it is a "good or bad hurt". Conscious breathing/not holding your breath is important while deeply breathing into the areas I will be working on. Again, verbal cues from you help to guide me in the treatment and are key to release! When successful, you can literally feel the facia layers 'melting' and releasing. There is no need to remove any clothing for this treatment.

About me
My journey in natural medicine/healing began as with most who found a higher calling. I was tired of allopathic 'medicine' only treating symptoms and not the root cause of health issues. Every health issue has an emotion attached to it. This has lead me to 20 plus years of being open to so many avenues of holistic healing. Like-attracts-like and that has proven itself over and over to me once I was open to it.
I have been married to my amazing supportive husband for over 35 years. We have 2 grown sons who are our greatest pride and joy. I was a stay at home mom who devoted my time and energy to helping them be the best humans they could be, while being attributes to society and finding their own journeys in this life.
Now that they are set on their journeys, it is time for me to continue to fulfill mine by helping others achieve their best healthy life!
